The peace and view of the paid location, the friendly staff

There was a constant smell of sewage in the bathroom, breakfast was totally boring in terms of offerings and ambience, you had the feeling that money was just being skimmed off without further effort

Good value for money! Nice resort located a bit outside, surrounded by a green forest. Easy to reach with a scooter. Scooter rental was super easy through the hotel.

Quiet, remote, relaxed away from the hussle and bustle. Located in a jungle. Very comfortable villas, small private beach ideal for snorkelling. Lovely and helpful staff. Nice food at the restaurant that is reasonably priced.

Occasionally had trouble getting taxis to drop off to the resort because the road is narrow, steep and in poor condition. The walk is about 13min if you’re fit and don’t mind a bit of a moderately challenging walk. It’s walking distance from Nai Harn beach where there are some restaurants and taxis. Great swimming pool but because of the construction site located literally next door super noisy.

Fantastic staff and a great private location.

Some construction was going on to be aware of, but the only issue we had was noisy bikes parking outside the chalets at all hours of the morning instead of in the parking area. This needs to be addressed by the resort.

Distance to activities is difficult due to location and traffic issues. I should have booked the location for relaxing at the beach instead of activities that were further away.

I had an incredible stay in Phuket! The resort boasts excellent facilities, a cozy and beautiful private beach, and a refreshing swimming pool. The dining experience was delightful, with fair prices at the restaurant. Highly recommend for a relaxing getaway!

The only odd and unnecessary aspect I found was the 60 euros deposit at check-in. Throughout a month of traveling in Asia, this was the first time such a request was made.

Location, tranquil and relaxing resort, clean grounds, snorkel off the beach, drink & food delivery to the beach, beautiful rooms (new building), lovely pool, friendly and helpful staff.

The breakfast was basic, small buffet; would have loved a coffee machine for lattes or cappuccinos. The menu options were small so our meals felt repetitive since we stayed there for 4 days. Would love to see some additions to the menu, like a la carte options and more desserts.

Beautiful location nestled in the woods. Beach down the hill or shuttle bus to beach about 1km away. Nice basic room with all we needed. Staff very happy, friendly and most helpful.

Average food, a bit same ish most days but fresh and mostly ok. Bed was like concrete so difficult to sleep at times. Also sun beds down by their tiny beach were sad and screwed together so no recline or mattress. Put us off.going down there. Not much to moan about really so just a little extra in these areas could transform this place. On the whole enjoyed our stay.

We're really glad we picked this hotel for our Phuket stay. It's away from the busy, crowded parts of Phuket. At first, I was a bit worried when we got there at night because the road was long and dark, and there weren't many places around. But in the morning, it was like waking up in paradise! The bungalows are tucked away in the jungle, just a minute from a semi-private beach. The beach might be small, but it's peaceful and perfect for snorkeling. The staff were super friendly and fun. We were there during the Loy Krathong festival, and they put on a Krathong-making competition and a special dinner for us. They also had meditations and other events, but we missed those since our stay was short. The breakfast was okay – nothing special, but there was a good variety of food. If I'm ever back in Phuket, I'd definitely stay at this resort again.

There's a construction of new resort just next to this one, so you could hear construction noices.

This place looks beautiful, the room appears stunning and the surroundings are beautiful. Unfortunately, the value for money doesn't match what you get.

Whilst I do understand places have been hit hard by Covid-19, it's not an excuse for not being prepared for opening; your price should match your service. All members of staff were welcoming and polite, but there weren't many which gave me the impression that they had recently reopened. Patio areas were not clean and the pool looked as though it hadn't been cleaned in a while. The room looked clean and matched the description, but the aircon was loud and dirty. Also, for a two personsl room, one tiny bottle of shower gel is not enough. The food in the restaurant was delicious and fresh, although the menu was extremely limited. What made this worse was the place closed at 8pm and the nearest shop to buy things was about 800m away over large hills. My overall impression it that Baan Krating is not value for money. You need to be prepared for reopening by offering a full, high quality service. Don't open with half a service or you will get negative reviews.

Every thing I liked:)

Most of all, we loved the view from our room and great snorkeling right off the beach. Lots of colorful fishes near the shore and corals further away, but really close. We saw parrot fish, zanclus rogatus, anemone fish, angel fish, and many more, including some big species. But no stingy jellyfish, fortunately. We loved the small beach, which has shadow even at noon, as trees grow very close to the water. The resort is very quiet, no noise from discos or fishing boats, no vendors, etc. Just nature, birds singing, butterflies, lizards (but not in the room :)). The staff is friendly, the food in the restaurant is delicious, wi fi is free and worked fine around the resort. Our room was spacious (we had an extra bed for our 6 ears old), and especially the terrace was our favorite place Perfect perfect perfect! We already dream to come back!!

- poor breakfast. I missed yoghurt, cheese, muesli, good bread (they only offer rubber-like toast bread). Other choices are Curry, rice, potatoes, steamed vegetables, which all would make a great lunch/dinner, but not breakfast (for me). The fruits were most of the days watermelon and pineapple, sometimes, papaya, would be good to have more choice - in the restaurant menu only watermelon and pineapple juice. Would be nice to have mango juice and fresh coconut - last shuttle to Nai Harn is at 16.00, would be nice to add one more at 18.00 or later - no shop on site, so you buy water for 30 THB/0.5 l from the restaurant or walk for 20 mins until the closest shop - strange organization of the room space: the wardrobe and safety box are in the bathroom, not very comfortable (pavilion beachfront room)

Beautiful location and view. Easy motorcycle ride to many different beaches and lookouts. Private. Great and friendly staff. Lots of restaurants to try with great food.

Loved everything about this place.

Excellent location with access to two private beach spots. Great seaside bar where you can get a snack from your deck chair. We had the Seaview villas which are very well appointed and have a large balcony.

The restaurant area could do with a refurbish it’s looking very tired and the deck chairs were very old and some were broken and had ripped cushions. They did however get a new set of deck chairs delivered so hopefully the old ones will all be replaced.

Away from the hustle & bustle. Has a shuttle every 2 hours to take you to Nai Harn beach.
